Wimbledon living: our homes at Cambium
SW19 is perhaps one of the most well-known postcodes in London, due to it being home to one of the most famous sporting events in the world. Our 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom houses for sale in Wimbledon, at our Cambium Southfields development, are only a 5-minute drive from the tennis club and a stone’s throw from all the amenities the area has to offer.
Here’s what you can expect of a home within our Cambium development in Wimbledon.
In each of our houses for sale in Wimbledon, you’ll find an open plan kitchen dining area, complete with doors that open out onto a well-proportioned garden space. This creates an area that’s perfect for entertaining, or even just coming together at the end of a long day. Appliances are all integrated and space saving technology is used for things like waste to make sure you have ample room to live.
The finishes in the kitchen are to a high specification: composite stone worktops, stainless steel sink with chrome mixer top, and tiled splashbacks.
The living room is on the first floor, separate from the kitchen and dining area. Each living area has floor to ceiling windows, complete with a door that opens out to, in some cases, an outdoor terrace.
Our homes at Cambium are spread over three and four floors (depending on the number of bedrooms your property has). The bedrooms are located on the upper floors, many enjoying en-suite bathrooms, built in wardrobes and floor to ceiling windows for plenty of natural light. In some of our 5-bedroom homes, the whole third floor is home to the Master bedroom complete with a private outdoor terrace that overlooks your back garden. An added touch of sophisticated luxury; perfect for breakfasts or a breath of fresh air on summer evenings.
It’s often the small things that make a house a home. So we’ve installed underfloor heating into all living areas, individual thermostats in main rooms and bathrooms, built in wardrobes to master and second bedrooms, LED lighting in the gardens, and double glazing throughout.
So you can feel secure and comfortable in your home.
You’ll find everything you need south of the river, within Wimbledon. Grocery stores, the High Street, two tube stations, restaurants, bars, open green spaces, museums and, of course, the tennis courts themselves. These are all less than a ten-minute drive from the Cambium development. This means convenience, everything you need right on your doorstep so you can just enjoy being at home!
The majority of schools, state and independent, in Wimbledon have received an “outstanding” rating in their latest inspections.
It’s home to Wimbledon High School, King’s College School, and Albemarle Primary so you’ll find a variety of establishments suited to your child’s educational needs. Wimbledon is also home to the Wimbledon College of Arts and Kingston University’s Roehampton Vale Campus for engineering.
In spite of its proximity to London’s City Centre, Wimbledon offers a village feel to residents and visitors alike. Historic architecture, terraced townhouses, independent stores and a “sleepy” historic high street give the feel of a town far from a metropolitan city. The area is a true community, with its own festivals, theatres and programme of events, so there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved!
