Living in Southwest London: A day in the life

Your friend departs midway through your walk, by which point you’re only 10 minutes from your front door. 

It’s one of the best things about your home – your garden. When you roll those doors back you truly blend indoor and outdoor living, and on a sunny afternoon there’s nowhere else you’d rather be! Walking barefoot on your own lawn and then feeling the heated floors of your kitchen while you pour yourself an ice-cold drink – it’s the little things. 

You and your partner have planned a night out with friends this evening. So, given you’ve spent all afternoon in the sun, you spend a few hours getting ready while you have peace! 

Your master bathroom is an oasis of calm. You soak in the bath, wash your hair then head to your bedroom to select an outfit. Everything’s so easy in the new home; fitted wardrobes and a dedicated dressing area make simple things like getting ready feel that bit more luxurious! 

You’re headed to Rick Stein’s Brasserie in Barnes; good food and river views as the sun goes down. And it’s only 15 minutes in a taxi. After that, it’s on to the last showing of a film at the ODEON Luxe, Putney embankment.
